There is nothing in the manual to indicate that the camera is the server. The interface has a page where you can put in email settings and the camera will email the images or you can enter the settings to have it ftp the images. We were using the email function until we switched email providers...- johnnygoose

We're running Server 2003 have about 10 desktops and a printer/scanner. We have a D-Link DCS-3220 Internet Camera on the local network that you can access with a browser. The camera has a motion sensor and the ability to ftp snapshots. I'm trying to set this up as an after hours security camera...- johnnygoose
