Need to convert Integer to SmallInt
A small Int occupies twice less storage space than an Integer occupies. So, i'm thinking of converting a Integer column of 4 bytes in length to a Small Integer type. Is there any way to alter the data-type from Integer to SmallInt in DB2? If yes, will there be a considerable savings as I'm thinking?
