Anyone ever see a poser supply delivering both AC AND DC power?
Call pilot has quit but still has lights. I couldn't remember what they took (AC?DC) when I checked the voltage, it had 8VDC AND 17VAC.
Guessing and hoping that is the issue?
So it should be the right phone? Just with a RJ45 connector?
I forgot about the two pair issue. That complicates things but if DND is on I can go back to analog phones once I turn it off.
Could someone tell me what phones work on an Avaya Partner phone system (206E expansion module)?
I bought a 6D but it looks like a POE phone with an ethernet jack in it. When I plug it in nothing comes up. Do I need to activate the phone? or is there something I am missing. Internet tells me I...
They only have 2 lines, so I think it should handle 26 phones. Not sure about voicemail, learning all of this on the fly. How do I program a speed dial? Is that "call pickup"?
Also when I switched out the 206 card I lost the programming for the 6 phones. Not a big deal since there wasn't much. I...
They have 26 total extensions. 1 cordless, 1 Avaya phone and everything room has an analog phone.
Would DND turn off ringing?
Learning this system as I go. There is basically no one around who works on these and for some reason I thought it was a good idea for me to take it on. I had 5 hours...
Is the ring generator a known problem? Our supplier just sent us a replacement 206E under warranty. I am unable to get ringing out of that board as well.
I am thinking, what are the chances of having two card both with defective ring generators?
We are using all analog phones.
To be clear, there should be no programming that would turn off internal ringing? I can call directly to each set and pick up (confirming the extension #).
It's been a while since I have worked on a legacy Avaya Partner. I just added a 206E to a B&B for a new 7 unit building.
I was able to copy programming from one of their existing rooms for the 7 new rooms (1 spare port +206E).
They are using single line analog phones which I cannot get to ring...
Well look at that. Right slot, install with power off and everything comes up as it should.
Thanks everyone.
During this we did have a debate, what do the batteries save? All programming? Voice mail? We changed them just in case.
We have a customer with a Avaya Partner system with a 5 bay back plate, master card and 1 expansion card, I want to add a second expansion card (206E).
I was under the impression these could simply be installed however when I do the first expansion goes offline and the new one does not power...
Currently Avaya Partner. It is at capacity.
I would almost recommend Nortel MICS with M7100 phones, I just can bring myself to install a 20 year old system from a company that no longer exists.
New building will be Cat6, but could run anything on it.
A client owns an Inn and is expanding, they will need a new phone system.
Currently there are digital phones in 12 rooms (using 1 pair each). It is NOT practical to rewire these to IP.
There is a new building going in which will have 12 phones. The office phones could be rewired if needed.
What...
Customer had a power outage. They have a generator backup but it takes 10 seconds to kick in.
I believe the generator caused a surge so now the Call pilot power supply is producing 13.8 VDC
Is this high enough to cause issues ( I think it is supposed to be 9V)? Call Pilot has stopped working.
