This sounds like a simple issue of the wrong extension being programmed in the CCR tree that the option does not recognize. Have you had looked at what extension the CCR tree is trying to send the call to?
Or is it programmed to go to a VM extension that is not enabled yet?
Yes you are correct that the board allows to pin out Terminal vs Modem (DTE/DCE). I have confirmed that this is set correctly as well as used a null modem just in case. I have also confirmed that the physical connection is working by blowing away the TTY-1 and replacing it with SCH/BUG users and...
About two months ago the Hotels PMS software told the Hotel that they could not communicate with the PBX to sync check in/out names.
At the time of the issue the PMS resided on a QSDI card that had a dongle off the backplane. It was on TTY-5 at that time. After a little testing I found that...
FS,
Thanks, all of the TTY's are enabled in load 37. Yes I deleted the original TTY-5 because I wasn't sure if it would interfere with an additional PMS TTY. TTY-6 was unused but had users ( MTC SCH CTY OSN ) on it.
when the issue originally showed its ugly head I tried everything I could...
Yes I have tried different baud rates and even different pinouts also, including just a simple null modem pinout. I was previously convinced that the issue was the cabling. But at this point I’ve spent two days trying every pinout and emulation that I can imagine.
Just as an FYI this is an...
So I did some more testing and connected the onsite PC with the correct cable to the TTY-2 port, this is the usual port I access the PBX through and it works just as expected.
I then took that same cable and connected it to the TTY-1 port that the PMS is supposed to be on and I could not get...
So I connected my serial cable on my laptop to the back of the PBX on the TTY I usually use to talk to the PBX (TTY-2) and it DID NOT WORK...
Then I connected the serial cable on my laptop to the cable that is used by the onsite PBX and it worked like a charm. The cable that is being used is a...
I hope everyone had a great weekend! So I went to the site and looked at everything and I'm defiantly missing something. Here is what I found, (Then you get to tell me how much I've forgotten over the years.)
I worked with the engineer at the company that provides the PMS to the hotel. He...
Thank you to GBTAC3 and FS for the information. Those commands worked like a charm. I will be onsite today and able to test the physical connection to see if all is good. I will let you know. :)
FS,
You're going to have to forgive me perhaps I'm not understanding this the way that I should. I would like the PMS to reside on TTY 1 which has a DB9 (RS232) connection off the back of a NT8D41AA card.
I have deleted the TTY 5 and TTY 6 so that I have less programmed TTY's in the system so...
Thank you all... I'm going to try deleting TTY 5 and TTY 6 since one is UNUSED and 5 is the OLD PMS.
Just curious will that bump PSMI to change in the CFN file or do I need to do that manually?
Or should I just delete "all" the PMS TTY's and build one from scratch after they are all removed...
I have a CS1000 Rls 7.0 that was working up until a short time ago. We had the TTY port for the PMS connected to the QSDI card on Core 0. It stopped working and the conclusion was that the QSDI card had finally shut down. Because of the fact that we had a TTY available on the NT8D41AA in the...
We have a CS1000 v7.0 and the GUI as well serial via PuTTy will not allow login. I have also tried to login in via serial PuTTy with the admin account and that does not work either.
I can log into the ssh of the EM Server Linux Base with my usual username and password as well as the admin...
Thank you. I will connect to the COM port and see what's going on. The LED currently is in a RED state. When I rebooted it yesterday it seemed to boot correctly and establish connectivity with the HMS server but nothing else. Thanks again, I will post once I've rebooted and captured the output.
Just more information as well. Im able to login to the HMS server via RDP session 0 and see that the HMS is up and running clean just no calls from the CM will travel across to it.
