UNICODE to ANSI ("???" to "日本語")

Hi! I have a string in JavaScript, "???". I need to convert this to ANSI, "日本語". Of course I want to be able to change the UNICODE (probably UTF8) and then get its ANSI characters (or is it ASCII? I think it's ANSI). Thank you very much if you can help me with this!!!

    Class not registered

Problem solved, it wanted to have an application installed. Now I remember this has happened before, at which time I was also as puzzled about it as I was now. I will make a note of it. Thank you!

    Class not registered

Tried copying the DLL file to "C:\Windows\System32\", then I placed myself in that folder in CMD and typed "regsvr32 ICONV.DLL". Got a message that it was successfully registered. This did no differance, I'm still seeing the problem. Anyone got any ideas?

    Class not registered

Hello! I'm having quite the problem here. I'm trying to use a component in ASP (which uses Visual Basic) but I get the error "Class not registered". I have used it before on a different computer. The component is a DLL file, and when I type "regsvr32 ICONV.DLL" into the command prompt I get...

Windows cannot recover master file table (TrueCrypt)

R.I.P Hard Drive I scanned the disk using GetDataBack, god a bunch of errors about that it could not be read sometimes, but you could continue. It found around 200000 "file starts" (I think it was) sp it seemed promising. Six hours later it was done and showed... no results. Well that didn't...

Windows cannot recover master file table (TrueCrypt)

I can't make the USB version because: This version of C:\TEMP\ubcd411\tools\ubcd2usb\wait.com is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact...

Windows cannot recover master file table (TrueCrypt)

I tried to scan the disk with "R-Studio" and got a bunch of Cyclic Redundancy Check errors, which is leading me to believe that the disk itself is broken somehow. So what I need now is some kind of tool that makes an image of the disk and skips faults like CRC errors, then I might be able to...

Windows cannot recover master file table (TrueCrypt)

Hello! I bought a new HD a few weeks ago. I partioned it in Windows Vista x64 to one big partition (1000 GB). Then I used TrueCrypt to encrypt the volume. Worked fine, but earlier today Windows was acting weird, the mouse started to freeze at random, so I turned off the computer using...
