    How to monitor file activity?

    I have a TCL script which sources other scripts, reads files, write files, etc. I need to monitor the file activity such that every time the script reads/writes a file I will be notified about it (including full path of the file). Is there a way to do so in TCL/Unix etc? Thanks! -Ziv
