One of my users keeps getting this error message when he tries to open an attachment to an email ! I tried Microsoft Knowledge Base but found no help. What is Error 24 ?? We use Novell Groupwise for email and Windows 98. It's not a problem with any other PC in our organization.
The patient is a NW5 server. the message is "The CDM driver deactivated device CD-ROM due to a device failure". Am I looking at replacing the CD-ROM or is this some kind of controller problem? I had the CD-ROM mounted as a volume.
