I have a field in my xml template with the following properties:

number format: #,##0.00
when i view my template in excel (2003), the field is displayed as "general" instead of "number". because of this, i can't do calculations for this field, until i change the format from...
haha. Myself and the boss are not excel experts so it is more of a learning point for me really. If it could be done great, if it can't then fine. So there is DEFINITELY no way of expanding rows and cols at the same time?

I have a column which only has values in collapsed rows.
So I would prefer to hide the column until required.
In terms of bus requirement, well the boss is one of those "less is more" types and intimated that i expand rows/column by double clicking on a cell value...

I simply want to add in some vba to unhide column D whenever "any" of the group row expand buttons on the worksheet are selected.
Then re-hide Col D when "any" collapse button is selected.
It is prob a simple one for you wizards but it would really help me. Cheers

I want almost the same effect as colllapse/expand but off a single cell on double click. I could drop an object onto the cell which i want the collapse to be triggered but i thought double clicking an underlined cell would be alot better for the user.

I have attached a test s/s to demo what i'm trying to do. I want to be able to double click a cell (underlined cell in col D) to expand out grouped rows. So basically i can have a finer list of rows which can be expanded out individually by double clicking any of these underlined cell...

I'm pretty retarded when it comes to excel which after 10 yrs of using is pretty poor.
Objective: create a cascading look across a s/s.
I want the user of the s/s to double click on a cell (NOT THE COLLAPSE/EXPAND button in groupings) to expand additional rows, and vice versa...
