Will NEC Electra Elite support non-NEC handsets?

Will NEC Electra Elite support non-NEC handsets?
I've got an NEC Electra Elite IPK and a number of NEC Dterm 80 handsets that I'm supporting, with 1 NEC wireless handset. The wireless handset is on it's last legs and I was wondering if other models would work with the NEC, or if it is locked into proprietary handsets only. Thanks, Bender...- BenderBender
