Eureka! The site you mentioned was very helpful. After checking the diagrams, I disassembled the ETB and then reassembled it. Long story short: you were right about the alignment problem. The right cam was never shown on the ETB installation instructions and while the cam can only fit one...- byrees

Thanks for writing. I agree with you that something is out of alignment. The most likely spot is the ETB alignment of the feet in their holes. Once the ETB is placed,however, the hole and the cam are constructed to only fit in one way. The left cam has a "leg" that engages a plastic part...- byrees

HP-2600n cartridge door won't close-obstructed by open cartridge
I just replaced the ETB on my HP2600n. Now the cartridge door will not close. It keeps bumping up against the bottom most cartridge(open with flap extended). It's my guess that this has something to do with the hinge cam on the left hand side. I'm pretty sure I installed the ETB correctly...- byrees
