Is there a way to stop the BB from deleting the old calendar items. I've sent it to "forever" and set the sync to 3000 days before and 3000 days after. It still wants to delete 150 calendar items from the device from 2008. Using Outlook on the PC.
I sync my outlook with a Blackberry (formerly with a Treo) and I've recently discovered that it is no longer keeping appointments that are older than two months - which means my entire history of appointments, etc. is gone. Where is that setting and how did it get changed? I want my calendar...
I have one cell with fname mi lname. I need it separated into three cells - one each for first, middle and last. I know there's a way to do it using the text functions, but I've forgotten the specifics since the names are of different lengths.
I have Norton Internet Security 2004 Professional and Outlook 2003. Today the Spam toolbar is gone in Outlook and I didn't change any settings in Norton or Outlook.
How can I get the toolbar back on?
How do I get the outlook.pst to be the active one on the new hard drive - specifically the contacts to be the contacts? When I checked to use Contacts as my email address book, it added a 2nd contacts folder with my folks in it. The first one is still empty and I have to choose the 2nd one each...
Since I ran the recent Office XP SR-3, each time I mark an incoming email as "This is Spam" (NIS 2004), the Outlook Toolbar is locked up. None of the toolbar buttons work (like delete, send/receive, purge) unless I close outlook and re-open it. I can right click on messages and delete them...
She would get a blank Word screen and the computer locked up. Same thing if she saved them first and tried to open through Word. I ran an update on her Norton and it hasn't happened since, so am hoping it's solved. I can't believe the computer store put the software on her machine and didn't...
Using Outlook 2000, Windows 98.. client had Norton Internet Security installed and now cannot open any attachments sent to her (Word and Excel). I installed the same thing and haven't had a problem. Any idea where to look for what is wrong? Thanks!
Thanks - I'm not running Virtual or Java intentionally, so I don't know why this error popped up. In the past, when I unchecked a startup option in msconfig, every startup after that I get a message that says to go back and reset the startup to the default. How can I get rid of one of the...
I'm using Windows XP Professional operating system on a Dell Dimension 8200, Pentium 4. After installing QuickTime (which I've now removed) upon startup I get the following error:
WJView error. Could not execute Main. CAnnot find the file specified.
Everything appears to be working...
Word XP:
I've created nametags with merge that have an Oval autoshape on them which is "behind" the text so that the text shows. Once that AutoShape is behind the text, how can I select it to change its color?
Outlook XP... What happens to my messages when it asks to archive and I say "yes"? When I open the archive, all the matching folders are there, but they are all empty. Their size is indicated as 0 KB when I look at their properties in Options.
Is the archive function just a fake...
I can right-click on C: from the Windows Explorer and get to the properties box, etc. But if I try it from the My Computer window (or the File menu in My Computer) it totally locks the system. Ctrl/Alt/Del does nothing, so turning the power off is the only way out.
Any ideas what I can do to...
Thanks to ALL for more great suggestions - I'm up to 4.6 GB free now. The laptop drive's file system is FAT32, therefore, the compress old files option is not available in Disk Cleanup. Any advice on whether to run convert.exe to change the system to NTFS? How much would that change my...
Thanks, linney... I did just upgrade from win 98, so could get rid of the uninstall file. The other ideas I'll check into - how safe is the compressed files option? I haven't used that for many years, but never had trouble when I did.
Are there any files that can be deleted to make room. With the drive so full, it is running super-slow. What is Win XP Hotfix and do I need it? What about Win XP uninstall?
I'll defrag and clean off files, but documents don't make a whole lot of room anyway. Any suggestions? The drive is...
