Caller ID question here.
We have incoming caller ID on our PRI. We receive both the number and name of the person calling.
When a call comes in, it only shows the calling number on the display (not the calling name).
1) If the call is on a secondary button (not the primary), the name displays...
Thanks, we had actually already been heading in that direction. The DispParse.ini was the correct file. Another helpful file is the PBXLOG files, also located in /opt/vmail. You can use that log to see in real time what is being read from the "display" of the virtual 2616 phone. Then, with a...
Thanks,
We seem to have narrowed things down to the display format on the phone.
For example, on a call forward, our voicemail box is looking for the following display format:
[ignore top line - calling name]
TRUNK- CalledExt "CFNA"
But, our system is actually displaying in this format...
Here you go! There are four voicemail TN's. Each one hunts to the next, so I've just printed out the first one. They are identical.

We have a very strange problem with our third-party voicemail system since upgrading from a BRI (voice T1 with no D channel), to a standard PRI.
Each extension forwards to voice mail using call forward no answer or call forward busy, so if a phone isn't answered, it goes to the...
Unfortunately we don't have the level of access we need on the Nortel site. I believe we need to be an "authorized channel partner" or something like that.
Would someone who has access be kind enough to send it to us or a link where it can be downloaded? Like I mentioned before, we do have...
We recently purchased a Succession 3.0 system on eBay. It came with the original keycodes and the official transfer of ownership paperwork. The system is working great, but it did not come with any PCMCIA cards.
I would feel a lot better if we had the software installs in case of future...
Thanks for the ideas. There are two main things we'd *like* that we'd need a newer software release for.
The first is the ability to use the newer 3900 series phones, which I believe require release 25, but I'm not 100% sure.
The second is the ability to use a CallPilot system. I think that...
We're a small non-profit that was given an Option 11 C. It has three cabinets with fiber link between them. Lots of analog and digital cards (we already have the phones).
It's ancient -- it runs Release 21.
Since we have no support contract, how easy would it be to upgrade the software release...
