IDE Devices showing as SCSI
I'm glad I found your post as I thought I was going insane since no one else has ever heard of this. While I'm not using any devices from the manufacturers mentioned so far in the thread, I do believe it is a replaced atapi.sys driver that is causing the prob. Admin to User Account Problem
You might try copying the conents of his old profile into and over the top of the new profile. I do not believe he will reinherit the the Admin rights and perms. You will get a couple of error during the copy, but this is normal because the ntuser.dat and the other profile file in the root of...- d7dlp0

Batch file, open the cd rom....
How about plagarizing the the script off the win98 bootdisk for "Start with CD-ROM support". I think there's a little routine for determine where the cd-drive is.- d7dlp0
