I did this for a 6009 but we're using the CatOS so we had to configure "auxillary vlans" for the ports. I did set my 3550s like your preferred method as well as running the DHCP on the switch itself instead of on a Windows server.

Solved: I got a different tech out here and he was able to figure out: the previous tech had an option that blocked the digits coming from the fax card (I think it was option 801 int the COS screen). Once this was done, the faxes were able to go out. Thanks everyone.

I've had nothing but problems with those VWICs. I called TAC and one of the engineers said their meant more for voice than for a T1. On a point to point one end is set to clock internal and the other end is clock to the line.

By setting it to trunk mode it should take all vlans. The other thing is that the PCs can ping each other but not their gateway.

You might want to disable the Plug N Play service. I've done this myself and works well.
