I've been using Frontpage 2000 to design my web site. However, one day, when I opened up my web files to work on them, all my themes and shared borders are lost! Not only so, I can't reapply them. I've already installed the Office 2000 SR1 patch. Any...

Thanks you for the tip. However, I went to the MS article you listed, and they provided me with a link that is suppose to lead me to the "fix". But going to that link only got me to where I must contact their tech support to obtain the fix. Can you tell me an easier to...

I already tried to give them local admin rights. They were still unable to install software unless they have global network admin rights.
Hello,
I have a network of NT servers 4.0 and NT Workstations 4.0. I have noticed that users do not have the right to install any software on their workstations without having the administrator AND the domain admin rights. Is there a way for me to set up a special group with rights...
Sorry for leaving out the details: I have a Compaq Prosignia (PIII450 with 128 RAM, a large hd). I also run Office 2000.
D. Chang
dkc@llsi.com

Hello,
I have a computer running Win 98 SE which is suffering from low system resources. I suspect some sort of memory leaks. At the start of a day the computer starts in the upper 70% for system resources. After a day's hard use, the resource level can fall to below 50%. I rebooted...
From hearing everyone's testimonies, this does not seem to be hardware-specific, as Microsoft would like to imply. We have all sorts of hardwares (Gateway, Compaq, AMD chips) having the same shutdown problem.
D. Chang
dkc@llsi.com

This is really upsetting. The fact that the MS patch does not permanently fix this problem has cost us (and our clients) a lot of time and resources.
D. Chang
dkc@llsi.com

It should not really matter (not that much, at least) which computer company the workstations are from, since they all use parts by other manufacturer. The CPU is from Intel, the HD is from IBM, the Video card is from Diamond, etc.
Compaq computers are not going anywhere anytime soon...
Hello,
As you may or may not know, Win98 Second edition has a shutdown problem in which the "windows is shutting down" screen just freezes when you attempt to shut down your PC.
I have gone unto the microsoft web site to investigate. It is a documented problem which...
I'm using Outlook 2000 on Win98SE on my network. As you may or may not know, you can customize your current view to make it have a certain viewing format in your Contacts, for example. (you can customize the view so that it only shows particular fields)
I have a customized current...
Everyone,
The problem is resolved. I did a bunch of things, but what probably did the job was the disabling of both serial ports (I fruitlessly disabled serial port B) and resetting the whole configuration data in the BIOS (as suggested by Peelingk). After the reset, it took me a...
I went into the CMOS to disable serial port #2, which occupied irq 3. I also enabled the modem to use Irq 3 in the CMOS (I tried it by disabling this feature as well). It still did not work.

I also deleted all registry keys involving the modem and re-installing the modem.
What do you mean "manual"? If you are suggesting setting jumpers, there aren't any on the modem. I have since thought of going into the CMOS to see if there is a setting I can tweak, but I have not tried it yet.
I am trying to install a US Robotics 56K Modem (ISA) into my computer (Win 98). Win 98 seemingly detects the modem properly after the login screen, and installs the driver (from the CD). The installation seems to be smooth, just as one would expect a PnP device to behave.
However, as...
