The error message was from the cd boot prompt. had the xp oem cd still in and It did the "press any key to load from cd" then after waiting for a few dots to appear on the same line with no spaces"........error loading operating system." Just wanted to get that out there before I (hopefully)...- CanQua

I'll try to keep this simple. Backstory: Had an IDE drive crash(D), also had issue with second ide(C) which is the primary xp install on this machine. Ordered a new sata wb 1tb(F) black to replace it. Plan on using existing sata 160 (listed in title) as a new boot drive and the 1tb for...- CanQua
