THANK YOU, I APPRECIATE THE ANSWERS. I solved the problem. View/toolbars/customize/commands/built-in menus/dragged FILE to the toolbar and it took.- sandeeshoes

I can drag some commands from the file subset to a spot on the toolbar, but not all (e.g. publish as PDF) but FILE is still missing from the main toolbar- sandeeshoes

Somehow, "FILE" has disappeared (with its subsets) from my toolbar. I have tried using the handle to move the toolbar and it doesn't move that row. I unloaded Publisher 2007 and reloaded and it still has the same issue- sandeeshoes
