Thank you so much. Sorry for being stupid. Identified it and now formatting. Been looking for info on this for few days and nothing I can find, not very good with SATA drives assumed was something more serious wrong having read about on the internet lots of people with same problem with drive...- CHRG

Does anyone know how I can get this drive formatted and working properly. The motherboard has 2 SATA 1.5g controllers a Via 8237 and a promise FastTrak 376/378. The VIA will not even recognise the drive when connected at all and the promise shows up in the boot process as identified but is not...- CHRG
