Not sure how you would force an invalid connection string through?? I've always used SQL Server authentication with my ADP files to avoid problems like this...can't you just have your DBA associate your Windows network ID with a SQL Server login ID?? At least then you would be able to compile...
Report contains a single embedded .jpg image approx. 350 kb in size. Learned elsewhere that Access doesn't do well with formats other than .bmp, and when I reduced the jpg image resolution from 350 kb down to 35 kb, the ADP file approached the original size (approx. 4 mb).
The form you have embedded your subforms on is actually the main form for this collection of subforms, even though you're not using the form as such.

I tried that first but it had no effect (kind of like rebooting a workstation when you haven't got a clue why it's acting up!). Although there's no internal db structure stored with an ADP like in an .mdb so I didn't really think that would help...
