thanks, what I decided to do was create an 'Exports Form', on which I placed a frame with option buttons for all the various reports I needed to export. It strange that a form has to be open for an' output to' to work though, thanks for your reply. All the best Jason

Hi, got a macro triggered from a menu, that exports a query to excel. Works fine if a form, any form, is open, but produces the above error message if nothing open. Anyone got any ideas how to get round this ? TIA Jason
