What is the best way to determine what type of SAN is connected to an AIX lpar, and the SAN commands that can be used to provide information of the SAN disks etc....

what is the best way to determine what lpars are connected to each other.
For example, an application lpar connected to a database lpar.
Would it be netstat or something more definitive ?

I'm using the following to backup a directory
cp -Rp fromdir/* todir
It's worked bar the fact it does not copied links or .file (files beginning with dot - sorry!) files
Any ideas what parameter should be used. I've also tested with cp -rp but this has the same result.
For links should -h...
Would there be any issues stopping starting syslogd
stopsrc -s syslogd
startsrc -s syslogd -a "-N"
it's do with some Tivoli work that's going on

Will the following work, and produce a log of all filesystems/directories/files backed up:
savevg -X -i -v -f /bkup_dir/vgname.savevg vgname

Trouble is, I can't find anything to delete to reduce the usage
Has anyone got any tips as to where to look and what to delete ?

We're doing a DR test soon
If I change the hostid of the DR box does it have any affect on the DR box's IP address ?
Or, is it simply a reference for the applications that are reliant upon it ?

Is swapping (a generic term I know) for memory (lsps) or, can it apply to disk ?
