I have an update query that updates fields in a register from a tick box in a form.
The trouble that i have encountered is that the update query only updates the record with the focus (arrow next to it) and none of the others. How do i get it to update all of the records in the register...
Ok here's the story....
I have two tables.... one with the details of people (name, address), called 'people', and the other is a register of attendance, called 'register'.
In my register i just have the fields 'MeetingDate', 'Name' and 'Present?'. the last of which is a yes/no tick box. What...
I currently have three tables, one with details of people(name etc), another that stores what is done at meetings, and another that is a register for who attends these meetings.
What i want to do is have the register inside the meetings form. The trouble that i have found when doing this...

Bonusmarch, ur technique intruiged me, how/where do i put that call shell function into my database so that a Word doc can be opened ????

Ok i can create buttons to run word, however is there any way at all to make it open an existing Word file??

not so long ago i reduced the acceleration features of my graphics card to try and fix a problem with my display, this did not work and i have put the graphics card acceleration back up to the full.
However evbery time i do this the machine needs to restart to let the changes take effect...
Ok my system has never been the most stable, infact it is uncommon for me not to have my computer crash at least once during the time im using it. Every thing i have done never seems to cure any problems though
At present the biggest problem i face is that scandisk keeps finding 'invalid long...
