The VolGroup is part of the Redhat Linux configuration. The image we are attempting to restore to this virtual machine was not previously a VM. In my reading I did not see where VMware Converter worked in this situation. Can you suggest a white paper that gives more clarity?
Some of the errors received:
PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 4 of device 0000:00:07.1
Reading all physical volumes
No volume groups found.
These errors occur during the bootup of Redhat Linux 4.5 after a successful image restore to a ESX3.5iu2 virtual machine.

I am building virtual systems, but would like to use images from previous systems instead of a new install. I can see my Clarion SAN device and appear to do a successful restore; but on boot the system fails due to "VolGroup00" not found. Has anyone else run into this issue that you know of...
