Eudora 7.1 and Vista error 10053
While it isn't a fix, I found that using the "Styled" button when sending vs "plain" or "plain and styled" has the least amount of time out errors. No idea why, just does. Cannot send on my Eudora
There are a lot of possibilities. Your ISP may be blocking all smtp traffic that isn't going directly through them or may just be blocking port 25...so use 587. The best bet is to read through the forum posts on eudora.com.- hennesseystealth

Eudora 7.1 and Vista error 10053
I have Eudora 7.1.0.9 on both a Vista and XP laptop. Both are attached to the same router. XP works perfect but the Vista Business machine has a problem sending emails that are responses, have modestly long threads, or have some formatting. The error code is 10053.
