I worked on this most of today and the button player is now working. It had hard-coded button names that took forever to realize.
I still have a problem lining it up with an iamge on the page but I've put that into a new thread.
I am trying to line up a mini flashplayer, that I downloaded from a website, under a centered image in some cases, and in other cases to the immediate left or immediate right of an image. This mini flashplayer uses "objects", and I plugged in my local pc (for testing) information.
I realize...
I have found a few flash players but none of them have full step-by-step instuctions as to what parts of the downloaded player go where (there are lots of folders included in each of these downloads), both in absolute terms for themselves as well as in relation to where my base web page and mp3...
Thank you karlisi for showing me how to do it. And thank you linney for your re-asssurance and url pointers.
It's much appreciated - stars to both of you for your help.
[A pc novice - the "IT Management" after my userid is there by mistake but there isn't any way to change it]
I neglected to explain that the reason I did not use your first reference is because there isn't any "Sonic" folder on my PC. I have a "Sonic shared" folder which a few DLLs. There are a bunch of other Roxio folders with lots of folders inside of them - too many to go through each one manually...
Thank you, karlisi. I tried your second reference. Diagnostic was NOT turned on. However, in Startup tab I found "DLADiag" checked (apparently from Roxio). I found a refrence to this that it causes this problem...
I actually found where to turn of the shading for the time (PAGE SETUP-> FORMAT). But I still need help as to where to turn off the background color for the subject/location.
The novice's questions continues: The Outlook 2003 calendar in month mode is printing a shading and background color for appointments: the shading for the time and the background color for the subject/location.
Outlook 2K (that I am coming from) didn't do that.
So...is there another setting...
I have a new pc running XP. The first time I do something after starting up the machine, I get a window opening showing "Diagnostic Traces". I don't where this is coming from, nor what it means.
There isn't any way to include the screen shot here so I'll re-type what is says.
Diagnostics...
Novice question: I just went from Office 2K to Office 2003. How do I get the Outlook Calendar to display all the days of the week equally in Month display, the way it did on Outlook 2K (one column for each weekend day, just as it has one column for each weekday day)? Now, I get Saturday and...
I got a new PC that came with Roxio Creater DE 10.2. However, it does not have Drag-toDisc. Is there any way that I can get this separately from somewhere? Or is there a way that I can re-install it from my old pc? (There is a folder that says "install" but I can't find which, if any, of the...
Each time I open one of my web pages that is sitting on my pc (for testing, creating, et al), IE gives me a warning that it is blocking active-x. I have to tell IE to allow it each time I open one of my pages, which of course is most annoying.
This is likely a novice question but is there some...
Hi Turkbear.
WMP 11 has a different interface for finding and using Internet radio stations. It's not as simple as on WMP 9.
And it actually has at least one less visualization: musical colors.
And as WMP 9 is working on one machine, I really want to understand why it doesn't work on the...
Thanks Vragabond (and a *). I gather that if I embed one of these small players in the html then my web page will remain on the screen.
Novice question: How do I convert the WAV files to MP3, which these players require? They don't support WAV.
I just installed Windows media Player Release 9 on a new XP machine. When I play music and right click, I get a list of visualtions. But no matter which one I select nothing happens. There is no visualization.
I am also running WMP Release 9 on my older XP machine and visualizations work fine...
I have WAV files in my web page. I will not make them "inline" as that can be annoying to people to have it automatically play. I want the visitor to decide if he wants to hear the music and if so click on the JPG (or GIF) and hear the music. But I want that music to be a "background" to the...
I have "New Tab" in "File" in IE7 disabled on my PC. I got a new PC and I can't remember how I disabled it (it's been a while). Would someone please point me to where that setting is so that I can make "New Tab" greyed out?
Thank you [IE7.0.5730.13 XP 5.1 SP3]
