Excel is automatically highlighting cells
Just found out that if your mouse does not have a red button (scroll button) you can accomplish the same thing by a right click. Glad you got it figured out!- marshat

Excel is automatically highlighting cells
This frustrating problem just happened to me too. The highlighting follows the mouse. I fixed mine by clicking the little red button on the middle of my mouse. I don't know why, but it worked.- marshat
