Hehe Jim, don't worry about it - I miss seeing things ALL OF THE TIME these days! :-) As regards the Sidekick 95/98 interaction, then if, as you say, Sidekick 98 won't write files in the Sidekick 95 format, then that accounts for its inability to edit files opened from the Sidekick 95 folder...- FredTheOstrich

Thanks Jim, I checked out these files, as advised, but they're not checked as "Read Only", as they are on my resident hard drive and used on a daily basis by my Sidekick 95 (for reading AND writing). All the time Sidekick 95 functions satisfactorily, there is no problem, but I just wondered...- FredTheOstrich

Hi there everyone, I've been using Sidekick 95 for many years now and am now using Windows XP Home. The Sidekick Write Files can be opened in Sidekick 98 as "Memo Files", but if I make changes to them and try to save the changes in Sidekick 98, nothing happens, and Sidekick 98 won't close...- FredTheOstrich
