I am trying to create a macro in Access to delete a Table and import an excel file to create a new table. This is what I have so far but it doesn't work.
DeleteObject Type=Table, Name=TEST
TransferText Type=Import Delimited, Name=TEST, File=c:\karl\1.csv, Field Names=No, Specification...
My only options for Type are Access, FoxPro, Dbase, Jet, or ODBC. The file I am trying to import either in a text format or Excel. Any other ideas? K K H H

If I can get the macro in then I can convert it to a module and use it in VB. I can't even get it into a Macro. I have heard there is is a TransferFile command, however I cannot find it on my version. Any ideas? K K H H

I am learning Access VB so forgive me if this question is basic in nature. I am having problems importing a file into Access using VB. I can open the old file or delete the old file but I am not able to open and delete or import the file. Can anyone help? Karl
