Thank you again.. I re-did this portion of the database and it looks a lot 'simpler'.
As such, I will re-post my problem in another thread.
Thanks again

Take your time.. Again, I apologize for the naming convention but this is a spall part of a larger database and I get lost if the names do not group all the relevalnt queries / forms together..
Thanks

Hi Aceman1.
Been a while. Yes I agree that my naming convention got out of hand.. :):)
The actual quote is correct but I see with the naming convention it may cause issues.
I cannot access 4free from work, so I am sending the file home, then will upload and post when done.
Thanks a lot...
It’s been several days that I am trying to have this work. Came close several times to end up where data could not be entered in the last subform. My problem is in # 3 and my other problem is lack of experience.
The goal is to
1 Select a client in a drop down (works well)
2 Create a record...
I decided to simplify the form and allow the user to enter the ccan himself contrary to have the CCAN in a drop down. Larger margin of error but will put an error code on the exit form btn.
Thanks

Hi
I am not an expert, far from it, but what I do in a form is create a new field, and as control source = Count ([____]) Count («expr»)). Insert the name of a field that is unique to each record.

Hi all,
Despite several combinations of form/subforms, I am unable to achieve the following and I am asking for guidance and ideas to achieve this functionality.
Background
A group of customer is created by the user, each group has a unique ID ([group_id]) and a group has several Customers...
I did not know that I could create the query directly or amend a query in the SQL window.. Sounds ridiculous when I think of it. I thought that it was either in VBA or by the visual interface.
Another thing learned.
Thanks again..

Hi all.
I have 3 fields in a table
[ccan]= Client number
[amount]= in $$
[div]= Division
For each CCAN, I need to select the Division where the amount is the largest using Access 2003 visual interface.
I simply cannot achieve the desired results as either the data is not selected or the...

Hi all
Something weird is happening.
The validation rule of a field [audit_physical_date] in a form is as follow
>=Format([prepost_date],'Short Date') or Is Null
(the Format command is required to transform a MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM field in Short Date.
The input mask of the field [physical_date] is...
