Jack, As a follow up. I am told that winXP is skinable to make it look like win2000. Hooray ! But I still found it slow on the shop's machines on which it was installed. I purched Guard Dog 3.10. I went to the downloads site, got the update to 3.12, tried to install, but the software told me it was already uptodate. It was not.
