Create TIFF form WORD w/ MSFAX and FAXCOMEXLib

How can I use the fax server (MSFAX ) with FAXCOMEXLib to create a TIFF file from a WORD document? I've had very good faxing success with a VB fax app using FAXCOMEXLib, and I know that I can use it with MSFAX to fax a WORD document, but I don't want to actually fax it. Rather, I just want to...

Error 3265 after installing on clean machine

Zemp, thank you for your speedy, helpful response. Based upon your input, I did some investigation and discovered that the package contained a down-level version of the database -- a level which did not contain one of the referenced fields (consistent with your suggestion). Full verification...

Error 3265 after installing on clean machine

I have a small database application using VB6 and DAO. It works fine on my development system. When I build a package (w/ the Package and Deployment Wizard), and install the package on a virgin system, the app fails with a 3265, Item not found in this collection. It always fails on the Load...

Visual Basic 6: List box w/ Checkmarks

When looping through a list box w/ checkmarks as follows: for i=0 to list1.listcount-1 list1.selected(i)=True next the checkmarks are clicked on correctly, but depending upon the previous state of the list items, some of the list items themselves are highlighted. The list items that are...

    Can't make reference to MSCOMCT2.OCX

Thanks to all who have responded. Johnwm, your were absolutely correct. Using Components versus References was the solution. I initially had a problem in that the component dialog box had the checkbox, "Selected items only", checked thereby causing the list of controls to be blank. When I...

    Can't make reference to MSCOMCT2.OCX

More Info: It now appears that this same problem occurs regardless of which ocx I try to add. Here is the sequence: I go to Projects|References and click the checkbox associated with the new ocx. After I hit OK, the associated tool does not appear in the toolbox. If I go to References...

    Can't make reference to MSCOMCT2.OCX

johnwm, I've tried adding it via Projects|Components also with identical results. Another curious thing: This appears to be some sort of global problem since I now have the same problem when trying to add any ocx -- not just mscomct2.ocx.

    Can't make reference to MSCOMCT2.OCX

In VB6, I'm trying to add a reference to mscomct2.ocx (to use dtpicker control) But whenever I try to add the reference (via Projects|References), I get a "Name conflicts with existing module..." msg. Note that initially the Microsoft Windows Common Controls item does not appear in my...

How to play internet radio streams

thedaver, Thanks for your response. Largely because of my minimal knowledge, I unfortunately was unable to d/l the Linux player. Indeed, I couldn't even tell which one was required. Although I'm a competent Win user, I'm becoming incresingly convinced that desktop Linux has a way to go in...

How to play internet radio streams

I'd like to be able to play streams provided by various internet radio sites. But typically, when I try to do so, Konquerer (or Mozilla) asks me what application I wish to use to play the associated file type (ASX, PLS, etc.). Which Ark Linux application do I use to play these streams? And is...

    Adjust Grub

Pansophic, Thank you for your helpful response. Using the info you provided, I was able to do exactly what I wanted. Apparently my system is configured somewhat differently. It appears that the file I needed to change was /boot/grub/grub.conf rather than /boot/grub/menu.lst. In any case, I...

Send mail via scheduled server task, not via browser

Thank you for your response. I am doing my testing w/ localhost on my WinXP Home system. The php version is 4.3.1. (The real production server is Win 2K.) Since making my original post, I've been doing some experimentation on my local machine and it would appear that the following may...

Send mail via scheduled server task, not via browser

I'd like to trigger the sending of emails via a server initiated scheduled task (e.g. once a day at 10:am) rather than in conjunction with a browser request. I am familiar with the use of mail() within a browser page, but don't know how I might use this via a schedulted server task. Is there a...

    Onkeyxxx Fails in Netscape 4.75

Thanks for your response. Specifying the same name for all the text boxes was an error in my post. But, as it turns out, it doesn't affect the problem. The same failure occurs when the names are different or even if the name attributes are removed.

    Onkeyxxx Fails in Netscape 4.75

Unfortunately NS 4.75 is a possiblility. It sure would be a lot simpler if I could avoid it.
