If you can login as another user and are able to 'su', have a look at /etc-/efault/login.
If you find 'CONSOLE=/dev/console' without '#' in the beginning, you ca only login as root at the console, if the line is blnak after '=', you cannot login as root altogether, you can just use 'su'.

has somebody experience or ideas about removing packages from a Solaris 9 installation on e10k with cluster 3.1 and SAP 4.6/Oracle 8.1.7?
Theory says that you need entire + oem on an e10k, which is nonsense, but I don't know what can be deinstalled.
