Thank you, I tried that, replicated it to the secondary server as well but it did not work when I tested it. I thought it might have to do with the reception line being a hunt group but I tested with the call routing to another extension and that didn't work either.
So what I have is as...
I'm hoping there's a way to do this. As we are still working from home, we realized that there are a few calls that come in to reception that need to be transfered to one of the partners but with no one there we need to take those specific calls and route them to either the partner's extension...
No, I’m trying to replicate the way bridged appearances used to work in CM where you could build an extension, not have it logged to a physical set and still have it be a bridged appearance on someone’s phone. The line will ring on its own button, not the main appearance. To pick it up you would...
bdelmar, that creates the same issue as a hunt group where the button for the WB hotline button lights up but it still rings on the user's first call appearance.
You would think that the ability to read and the button lighting up would be sufficient enough information to determine whether or not it was a call to his line or the whistleblower line...
How do you build a dummy extension on IPO that will ring instead of going straight to VM without it being logged in to a physical phone? right now, when I build a dummy, if i don't log it into a phone and then try dialing it, it will go straight to voicemail. Even if i add it as a bridged extension.
He wants it to ring but that won't solve the issue. If i put the Group button it will lite up on that button but it will still light up and ring on his main appearance (tested it).
New to IPO but coming from CM. Here is my situation, we have a Whistleblower hotline that we need to have on the Chief Compliance Officer's phone and nowhere else. So for something like this where we need a number to ring on someone's phone but didn't want the extension tied to its own phone...
Having an issue with certain extensions causing 9640 to be non-responsive. If i log most extensions in, the phone works fine but if i log in 5246 the phone will not get dialtone and pressing any button just gets a loud beep (almost as if there was a stuck button). I have removed 5246 from the...
We recently changed our Mailbox Gateway so in MM we added the new External Host to "Server Administration>External Hosts" and switched the Mailbox Gateway Machine Name under "IMAP/SMTP Administration>SMTP Options" to the new host. However, Notify Me messages are not going out and in the...
So we made some changes to our system (added a SIP trunk) and we want to test Emergency Services. I know in NYC you need authorization for a test call but I am unable to find out who I should be calling to get the authorization. Does anyone know?
OK so I didn't have to bounce the server to fix the issue. The corruption was in the phone backup file on the HTTP server. made sure the ext wasn't logged in anywhere, renamed the file 3506_96xxdata.txt.old, logged the phone back in and BAM! it's working fine.
I have Avaya looking in to the issue at this point. I want to see if they can see the corruption before I reboot. Thankfully the user is understanding.
no luck on Joesena's solution. deleted, saved, added new station with new extension, saved, recreated 3506 from scratch, saved, tried logging in and same results.
