I have a customer that would like to have a voiced time stamp on their voice mail message instead of just on the phone. Is there any way of doing so? I have tried both "Callpilot" and "NVM" and can only get the date and time on the display not a voiced stamp.
I have a customer that has 9 lines on a bcm50 using the 1230 phones. Every couple of weeks 2 or 3 of the lines get internal echo on them then it goes away. I have gone through all the steps outlined in the echo control papers from Nortel and it works ok, then I get a call a couple weeks later...

They have a gigE card on the server but no switch or other card in the rest of the building. That is a good point because I am seeing more companies going to gigE and the 1200's wont work the same.
yeah it makes sense for me. I was just hoping there might be a program someone has found to show "x" amount of bandwidth is used by voice and "y" is used for data but if that doesn't exist yet then he will either have to pay for new lines to pay for new lines or be satisfied with my knowledge...
I am looking for a good easy to read test to demonstrate to a customer how the phone system is effecting his bandwidth. He has a techie employee that is concerned because they refused to run cable so we have the computers piggy backed off the phones and she swears the whole network is running...

im not in front of a bcm 50 right now but i will be tomorrow and can tell you where i changed it. I set the label for call forward to vm to "no calls" and told the users it was DND. so when they press "no calls" it actually is the feature forward all to vm.
Forget I asked. I had double checked the lines coming into the building and saw they all had connections running to the BCM but didn't make sure they lines were not crossing on the telco block. The problem was that line 2 was just barely touching the metal teeth on line 6 and so line 6 was...
I have a customer that just a experienced a problem where they press 9 for the outside line but instead of going to line 5 or 6 since they are free, it went to line 2 and picked up the line that another employee was on. I have since tested that employees phone using line 2 and I am unable to...
Is there a way to setup a speed dial button "feature 0" on the 7316. i am working with a customer that has a bcm50. all the ip phones are able to use their directory button but the receptionist want's a simple way to access the company speed dial list as well.
I have a customer that has about 20 company's on speed dial and they were wanting a way to have a directory show up on their bcm50 with ip1230 phones. I don't see a way but is it possible to be able to scroll through the directory? Just a question.
That's what I thought. I will try it again but unless a phantom unchecked then rechecked the auto privacy option. Thanks for the help. Just wanted to double check and make sure that was the only spot it should be.
Is there a way to make a line appear busy when an extension is using the phone. I have an insurance company that does not want the receptionist to pick up line 066 if an agent is on the line with a customer for privacy purposes. I have looked all around and can not come up with the answer...
I am trying to setup the receptionist with the General Delivery and a personal Mailbox. I have it set so the Gen Del is the assigned to her ext. 221 but how do I get in to her personal mailbox from 221? neither one of the boxes are set for auto-login. Thank you.
