They are both configured as trunks and they are both on the same native VLAN but I still get the same block message.
For whatever reason when I bring the switch up and when I'm using spanning tree the network is brought down so I guess I can try using it without spanning tree. Can't get any worse.
Is there a way to no use spanning tree and avoid it from trying to block the port. I have both switches set for the same VLANs and after six hours I keep making the same changes and nothing seems to work.
I'm trying to connect a Catalyst 3524XL-PWR-EN to a Dell PowerConnect 3448P.
When I bring up the Catalyst 3524XL-PWR-EN I get the following notice:
