    Unix administration magazines, periodicals, etc.

    If you want to invest in a third party book the HP Professional Books press has an excellent resource in a book entitled HP-UX II.X System Adminstration by Marty Poniatowski. It has 20 pages just on GlancePlus as well as lots of good information on other admin commands.

    Error is OS Log (SYSLOG)

    there is a utility called lanadmin. type it at the root prompt. You can make sure the lan card is set up correctly. I am really the DBA but do unix and once got info about this utility from support.
