Can anybody tell me how i can stop a DTS package from truncating a text field.
I can't find anywhere in the SQL 7 server set-up to change the option of the max length field.

Been working on Oracle for a while now and just swapped to SQL server, so excusde me for being dumb.
I have a comments field in my db which contains comma's, carriage returns, etc.
I can deal with the comma's by Double Quoting the field, but the carriage return still affects my output...

I have found the problem. I started by trying the TRUNC command using MSQuery. It seems there is a limitation to the TRUNC command and it still displays the time stamp. I have tried it in PL/SQL and it worked fine.

I don't want the time stamp to display and have tried using the:
