Crystal Reports Server XI - Invalid Object Reference Error

I am working with Crystal Reports Server XI. The datsource for my reports is a Stored Procedure in SQL Server 2005. The report runs fine in my development environment, both on my machine and when I run it on the reports server itself. (remote desktop) And I can sucessfully upload it to the...

CRXI Drop down Parameter pass to SQL Procedure

I had already thought of that...and tried it, but if I create the parameter within the SP, then I will not be able to utilize the dynamic drop down list for the user to choose from. So I guess it IS a bug, eh? Does that mean you cannot utilize the new feature of the dynamic parameter in the...

CRXI Drop down Parameter pass to SQL Procedure

Okay...I created a Union witin the Proc to give an 'All' Option. It works just fine, no problem. I'm getting it all working fine except one part of it still hasn't been visited. And this could just be a bug I don't know about. When I run the report, it asks for the Parameters from the PROC...

CRXI Drop down Parameter pass to SQL Procedure

Figured out the All part...worked like a champ...thank you!! So with that part figured out...is there truly no way to make my list dynamic if I want information that is not included in the results of the PROC? The only thing I could come up with is to include the information I'm looking for...

CRXI Drop down Parameter pass to SQL Procedure

yeah, I'm afraid my instructions have not been laid out very good, because I, too, do not know where the "drop down " options should be coming from. I'm working on that part now, from the requesters. I'd LIKE it to come from a list of all the active companies...but there's no way to populate...

Not sure if the subject was descriptive enough...sorry...but here's my dilema. Working with Crystal XI Datasource is SQL 2005 / Stored Proc Fairly simple report with date parameter (user chooses month and year) built into SQL PROC The user needs to be able to choose a Company from a drop...

Need to exclude null values sometimes

This is a weird situation...but I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to pull the data I need. This dataset requires me to pull all values (DtlVal) from a table where a HeaderCode is in an array of values. (i.e. HdrCode in ('400000','400100','400200', '400300'...

    TSQL Optimization help required

Yes that is most definitely the problem. Just ran it without that and it came back in 4 seconds. I'm so dumb, I can't beleive I forgot that rule. But again...how do I get around this so the people running a crystal report does not have to count out spaces whenevr they enter a PO_NUMBER?

    TSQL Optimization help required

Sorry, guess I'm a little new to this. I don't know how to get an "execution plan". I tried "Press CTRL-M in query analyzer and then run the query" but nothing happened. Not sure I know where to be when I do CTRL+M. Sorry for my ignorance. I see what you mean about the not doing the...

    TSQL Optimization help required

Can Anyone help me with this?? Running SQL Server 2000 -- I have this query, a fairly simple one...but hits several tables and has several case statements and LEFT OUTER JOINS. I know this is not the best way to go about this, because it takes over 45 second to run for just one PO_NUMBER. Not...

SubReport Links cause Subreport to dissapear

Sorry for my ignorance, I got it now. The fields I was chosing were indeed just fields ... not the parameter fields. Sorry for the confusion, and thank you for setting me straight. :-) CrystalQB

SubReport Links cause Subreport to dissapear

The subreports are all in different secions...two in the Header one in the details , etc. And yes, I am already doing the {?Parm} not the {?pm-?Parm} And as of right now, I have no CRYSTAL parameters...only the parms from the stored proccedure that are being carried over. -CQB

SubReport Links cause Subreport to dissapear

Hoping someone can help point me in the right direction... I am working with CR9 and SQL Server 2000 Stored Procedures. My report is a PO Form that requires many subreports. I've been able to combine some fo the main form data and eliminate a few of the subreports, but not all. Now, all the...

    Multiple subreports bad?

I tend to agree that separate sections for the addresses would be great...however, the layout really isn't able to be suited that way. Two of the sections need to be next to each other, and another slightly above and in the middle of both of those. Just not condusive to the sections thing...

    Multiple subreports bad?

Hi all, I am trying to determine the best way to go about this report I have been assigned. Working with Crystal 9 -- SQL Server 200 stored procedure is my datasourse, and it's on an OLE DB connection. The dilemma is, the origianl report has about 9 subreports, all with different tables and...
