Anyone have opinions on reliability between the 3005 vs the 4250?

For those who have them, does the printer make any or much perceptible noise in standby mode? How about running? Considering one but I need to have the printer sit by my desk due to room constraints.

Mrregan, What I need is Parallel to USB at the printer. The cables I've seen are USB to Parallel, the usb being at the computer.

Looking for a replacement for my 4050n for my small office. Other than speed, is there any technical advantage to buy one over the others? Are they all reasonably dependable?
