Hi!
I have developed a (non-swing) java application that uses a TrayIcon with a popup menu.
- When i execute the jar with double click everything is ok.
- When i execute the jar through a .bat file (double click the .bat) everything is ok.
- When i execute the .bat file through task scheduler...
The Folder that hosts the profile's redirected folders have the following permissions:
Sharing Permissions:
Full Control for Administrators, System and Everyone.
NTFS Permissions:
CREATOR OWNER - Full Control (Subfolders and Files Only)
System - Full Control (This Folder, Subfolders and...
I had the same thought but i cannot find any difference from the steps that everybody is describing on the web. The strange is that i don't get any error message!
*All other settings included in the Group Policy are the defaults of the Domain Group Policy and the Local Group Policy of the D.C.
Hi! I would appreciate some help on this!
A set up a domain which (for the time) includes on D.C (Win2003) and two Workstations for members. (WinXPPro). I also setup a Group Policy with folder redirection and applied it to a user group. The problem is that folder redirection is not working...
Recipient Filtering is enabled long ago.
I think there are only 2 steps for this feature:
a) ESM->Global Settings->Message Delivery->Recipient Filtering
b) ESM->...->Protocols->SMTP->Default SMTP Virtual Server-> Properties->General->Advanced->Edit->Apply Recipient Filter
What else remains to...
Hi, everyone!
I am using Win2003 with Exchange 2003.
I have enabled Recipient Filtering and "Filter Recipients who are not in the directory". If i am not wrong, when you enable this feature, NDRs (for users who are not in A.D) are generated by the sender's server. But when i look into the...
Ok, from what you have said so far i understand that IntelCoreDuo and 4GB RAM its more than enougn and that a potencial problem with mail-traffic handling would lie on the disk performance. Moreover, its better to use a PCI RAID-Controller for Exchange data/logs than count on the motherboard's...
You can say that we are an exception. However:
24 professors with 2GB mailbox limit
180 non-professors with 1 GB mailbox limit.
We are a university department.
I think you miss the point!!
a) I know the system i describe isn't a real server!
b) If i could, i would get a real server! Don't think that i am trying to save their money. I am just trying to see what we can do based on what they are willing to pay!
c) The primary usage of this (hi-end...
What is exactly that you want to know?
I am not a very experienced system admin (don't even ask about the previous admin (admin? haa!) that was here before me) but if you ask what we plan to do in each case of disaster is:
- If a H.D a fan or the RAIDController fails we have ordered
spare...
- About 200 mailboxes!
-I didn't make a choise on SATA. SATA is what most
desktop-motherboards support.
- I was thinking to make a RAID-1 for Exchange (databases,
tansaction logs) using the two 320GB disks.
- This desktop-based pc is not to be promoted to a
mail-server. It would be...
Hi! I am a system admin and my first care is our main server, which is a Domain Controller (Win2003), an E-Mail server (Exchange2003), a WEB server and an FTP server at the same time. The critical service is the mail service. I need a computer to use it, firstly, as a test environment for the...
Hi!
My mail-Server (Win2003) is also the only D.C of its domain and runs Exchange Server 2003. It runs as a web server with IIS and an FTP server, too. (Yes, its a all-in-one server!) Recently we had a problem with one of the imaged (RAID-1) hard disks of the operating system. This created a...
Yes, you are right! Stupid question.
Anyway, problem solved (or overrided (hope not)) through
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923171
hotfix.
Information Store service started and mails are (in)coming and (out)going without a problem. :-)) The 8012 event/problem of A.D (hope) is another...
