You can save it as .pdf using VBA code. Reaqd www.lebans.com - it tells you everything how to automatically save Access Report as .pdf file.

I once opened blank database and trough File>Open (navigated to a bad .mdb) was able to recover the form or report. Or Import old Form/Report into new .mdb

Compact/repair database sometimes does wonders. However there can be a different issue. Try compact/repair from Toold>Database Utilities first and report back. Good luck!
