    Simplifying arithmetic phrases

    I'm new in Prolog and that's the reason why I don't know how to get up to this problem. I must write a programme wich will make something like that: 2x+5y+8x-3y=10x+2y I don't know if I should use a list or something like that, please help. Thanks
