samba listening on port 139 even with "disable netbios = yes"
I have a linux sever and few win clients all running winXP, so I don't need netbios. I set "disable netbios=yes" in my smb.conf file but running "netstat -tl" I see that samba still listens on port 139. I believed that port 139 was only for netbios. Is it actually used for something when netbios...- libit
