Macola-7.5 Progression / PSQL
Hi:
Got a problem this month trying to close,
keeps giving the above error when trying to select and post AP transactions.
Why?
Chris.
Netware 6.1SP2
Client 4.91E SP2
We have a Win2K workstation that just started having a problem at boot.
Soon after we login to the Novell Client dialog, it closes as normal,
runs the login script, but then we get a Windows dialog:
"nwlscript.exe - Application Error"
"The instruction...
Solution:

I had suspected that the problem must be related
somehow to the WinXP install on Drive D:\ rather than on Drive C:\.
So I installed a copy of Win2K on Drive C:\ partition,
and then ran the Pervasive and Macola client installers in Win2K as well.
Macola had no problem...
Yes, twice as I stated above. I just ran it again for a 3rd time.
Watched it copy in the DLL's into the D:\WINDOWS... folders.
Rebooted, tried it again from the Programs|Menu ...
same problem==>> "MACOLA7.INI not found, default setup used"
I've installed Macola on probably 50 PC's through...
This workstation PC has 2 partitions: C:2GB(DOS)-Boot and D:38GB(NTFS)-WinXP
I checked your idea, but the MACOLA7.INI is in the D:\WINDOWS folder.
I thought perhaps MACOLA32.EXE only looks in C:\WINDOWS,
so I created a WINDOWS folder on C:\ and put a copy of MACOLA7.INI in there too.
Tried it...
Macola/Progression 7.5.102C
Pervasive 2000i
Netware-6/SP5
Workstation WinXP/SP3
This is probably something trivial simple, but it is driving me nuts.
I had to setup a new workstation with WindowsXP. Not had to do this in years.
But when I try to start Macola clicking on the desktop shortcut...
-Macola 7.5.102c
-Pervasive 2000i (7.3)
-Netware 6.0
We had a Raid drive fail, fixed now, and it appears some of the Macola BTR files are corrupted, major or minor I do not know yet. I get the Error-2 when trying to do some simple report listings in Macola.
So I was trying to use PCC to get...
Macola/Progression 7.5.102c, Netware, PSQL2000i
We just start to do close for Feb. Sales History process now shows December, Period 13 ???? We already closed year end and closed Jan month. What is the problem/solution?
Chris.
sorry
it showes period 3
I checked to make sure Jan and Feb where posted and they where.
So when I start to close the month I go to
O/E
Period End Procedure
Wanted to answer YEs at " Are you sure?" but as I look it states
from 12 Dec to 13...
so I clicked on NO and that is where I am at
Progression 7.5.102c / Pervasive-2000i / Netware
We started month end close as usual, but the OE/Processing/Sales History comes up saying advance period 12->13, when we are expectin git to say 3->4. Last mon (Feb ) and Jan seemed fine. Any ideas?
Thanks, Chris.
We had a workstation go down, and am trying to restore the previous configuration. The user had shortcuts over in the right hand pane of the main Progression shell. What is the file or where are these user configuration settings saved? I can't figure out if they are kept in the user...
We are trying to get into our databases for Macola, and when we go into Control Center and try to register them, it says we do not have enough rights. My Netware login has adminstrator rights. What rights is PSQL looking for?
Chris.
>> just to 76400b.
As I recall that is the sort of discussion we had with ES. We paid maintence for years, but with the change over to ES I think we eventually stopped as it wasn't clear what was going to happen to Macola. When we talked to ES they wanted so much money that it did not...
>> I may have already asked you this,
>> but why are you on such an old version?
We have been on Macola since the old DOS 4 version. We went through many bugs in many versions. Our original/previous accounting person was a consultant for Macola and dealt with Sanjeev directly. Version 7.5...
Progression 7.5.102c
Closing Month
There are a couple invoices which had been processed and batched during the month, but when we run the trial balance a couple of the invoice items do not show up with their batch numbers in the report. Others do. Ideas?
Thanks, Chris.
