I am a bit of a network noob and I had to setup a new Zone recently to separate some traffic. I want to dedicate one of our public IPs to be used for incoming and outgoing from just the 1 zone. How would I go about this? I tried and failed many times.
Server 2000
Its been running near perfectly for 6 years now. There has been no hardware / software / driver changes in over 2 years, but I will look into the driver.
I got a wake up call this morning for our ML350 G3 servers being down. In the HP log it shows
PCI Bus Error (Slot 0, Bus 0, Device 5, function 0)
The system management homepage shows that
Bus 0 - Device 5 - PCI Compaq Advanced System Management Controller
From what I gather, this basically...
I have read through many many pages on setting up this trust and I am still hitting a road block.
I have an existing 2000 domain which all the users, computers, and most of the servers in it.
The company was bought out, and the new server was put in a new 2003 domain for the new company name...
I am trying to establish a trust between Server 2000 domain and server 2003 domain {at 2k functional level} to migrate some accounts.
The trust is setup, but Validation from the 2k-domain fails with "Windows cannot find a PDC for the S2003-domain. Verify that the PDC is functioning and try...
I do. I tried looking up the MX records for @ctadvantage.com but one side says "Invalid Host" and another site says 1.1.1.1.
Exchange Message tracking shows it at 7:23 am which corresponds to when the user is physically at work.
Here is all the entry in the log file close to then
07:29:31...
I am having this issue with messages coming from one specific address {just the one address, not the entire domain}
Tracking log shows:
SMTP: Message Submitted to Advanced Queuing
SMTP: Started Message submission to Advanced queue.
They sent a test 7 days ago and that's all it says. Why...
I have 2 HP MFP printers that are giving me grief. Two of them would boot up until you see the HP logo and the lights cycle, and it just sits there and keeps on flashing the logo and cycling the lights.
I had another long dead machine, so I tried popping its harddrive in these two machines...
Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I am still baffled because these have been working fine for years and this just started up a couple days ago. I was out on vacation and have not even touched teh phone system in a good two weeks.
Note: I did get one fax to go out to one of the numbers that...
Opt11. I tried dialing the number from that jack and it rings and a fax answers. The strange part is that when i try to send a fax, it dials, and gets an answer. Its almost like it gets rejected before trying to send the actual data ..
It does this from all of our faxes and on several long...
This issue just arose and according to management its urgent. They are trying to fax some stuff, but it wont go through.... And the issue appears to be just for long distance numbers. {I have not made any changes lately. This just started}
I can fax internally, and locally. I even faxed a...
Thanks Allenmac..
If I understand you right, from Site1, if you dial a site2 extension, the PBX will just add on the outgoing number to call site two {almost like a speed dial} and vice versa.
BUT... if that is how it works, will they be able to call the other site, then input the extension...
Thanks for the input. I know phones systems just about as well as I know French.. Nada. they did get back to me with what kind of system they have. I don't know anything about it, so I am going to research it some today. I figured I would post it here in case anyone knows off the top of...
I assume that "Numbering Plans" refers to the extensions each site uses. Site1 uses 3 digit extensions, and site2 uses 4 digit.
The two sites are about 300 miles apart.
As for the voice mail, we may just leave each site with their own voice mail. This way each location's IT people can handle...
So my company was just bought by another and we now have 2 locations. The new owners are seeking how we can unify the phone system so site 1 can just dial an extension for site 2.
Site 1 - Nortel CS1000
Site 2 - Nortel {still waiting details from them, but sounds like a CS1000 as well}
Is it...
I am having 2 issues with 3902s.
1. I am trying to forward extension 1585 to 1582 after 3-4 rings, and if no one answers 1582, have it go back to 1585 voice mail.
Currently it forwards to 1582, but doesnt go to anyones voice mail. Also I want a direct call to 1582 to go to 1582 voice mail...
YAY! :/ I had a feeling that was the case. Looks like the best I can do is filter out the undeliverable so his mailbox isnt bombarded with them all day.
Thanks for the speedy repsone!
Thanks... Its not totally within our company, they are using our e-mail address and send to other domains which are not valid e-mail accounts, so of course all of the undeliverable messages come back to our guy.
For now I am filtering out the undeliveralbe message to another folder.
