If you're not having much luck with live trace, then your best bet is probably to outline it by hand using the pen tool.- Memorial

I'm currently having some issues that I've had in the past. Basic things like the spacebar which is usually the shortcut to move around the workspace or using option and click/drag to duplicate an item no longer work... same with things like spacebar-apple-option won't let me zoom out.
