Multiple Volume Group Backups
Does this script work? Does it write each VG to a seperate tape or one single tape? Are the VGs overwriting each other or appended after each other? I currently use IBM Sysback to backup our RS6000's which have multiple VGs. This also allows for booting to the tape, like a mksysb backup. -
Assistance Please
IS there a second network adapter card in that system? If so, make sure both have differnt IP addresses. Has this error been coming up since the NIC was installed or since you updated to 4.3.3.8? Check IBM for a software patch? -
System Ram
You can also do it through Smit (all though the command line is faster). Start smit, System Environments, Change/Show Characteristics of OS. The line 'Amount of usable physical memory in KB' displays the system memory.
