I think you're right about it being firstboot/installation assist. This particular user did something really stupid and had to do a fresh install (they couldn't find their makesysb tape). I'll see if I can walk them through the option to exit and not run install_assist. If that fails, do you... -

I have a customer that has what I think is a service menu come up whenever they reboot their AIX system. It prompts them for keyboard, terminal type, then it says config or exit. Once they select exit it prompts them for a user id and password. Does anybody know how to turn this thing off so it...
