Thx for the repaly.... It's a server/client type... in java you need a driver and a URL String (with other params like username/password, Service name or SID...).- GalR

Hello all, I'm kinda noobie here, and' originally a Java programmer... been trying to find some clue to how to use BDE/dbExpress to connect to the HR db on my local machine... anyone did it/knows how/can guide me in doing this? thank you in advance. Gal- GalR
