    I had symantec corporate version 10 installed. Computer started acting funny. tried to uninstall the software but was not able to. the software is still there but the entry for it in the add/remove applet is gone. when I reinstalled, auto protect was disabled, scan engine is not present.

    Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that the way that the software was installed. As I mentioned, the software is the Corporate edition. On the computers on which it is installed, each installation is a stand alone installation. No server is involved at all. So the Console is not used at...
